About WordCamp Europe

WordCamp Europe is a three-day conference for WordPress professionals (developers, designers, agencies, product builders, educators, and creators), website owners, and related companies. The conference will be June 4th-6th in Kraków, Poland and will have over 1,700 attendees from 80+ countries.

Event goals

Our goals for the event are simple and impactful:

  1. Provide free accessibility reviews and remediation advice to attendees for their websites, themes, and plugins.
  2. Educate the WordPress community on the European Accessibility Act (EAA) and what it means for site owners, developers, and agencies.
  3. Increase awareness of WP Accessibility Day and our free conference, especially among European contributors and organizations.

What we’ll do at the booth

The booth will be staffed by WP Accessibility Board Members and volunteers from the WordPress accessibility community. Together, we’ll be available throughout the event to talk with attendees, review sites, and share practical guidance.

The booth will provide a dedicated spot for an accessibility help desk (a.k.a. happiness bar), where attendees can get free 1-on-1 support from accessibility experts.

We’ll also distribute printed materials explaining:

  • The basics of the European Accessibility Act and how it affects WordPress websites.
  • Recommended resources for learning about or improving accessibility on WordPress websites.
  • How people can get involved with or attend WordPress Accessibility Day 2026.

Why this matters

Accessibility is often overlooked until it becomes a legal or financial risk. The EAA requires many organizations across Europe to have accessible websites; however, many WordPress professionals are unsure about how to make their websites or WordPress products (plugins/themes) accessible.

By having a large, easy-to-find booth, we can start meaningful conversations, answer real questions, and help people take practical steps toward building more accessible websites.

How your support helps

Sponsoring WordCamp Europe is an investment beyond WP Accessibility Day’s current budget. Funds raised will make this initiative possible, covering the costs of:

  • The large booth space.
  • Printed educational materials.
  • Travel expenses for WP Accessibility Day board members.

By supporting this campaign, you’re helping make accessibility education free, visible, and available to the global WordPress community at one of its largest events.

We’re running this as a crowdfunding campaign, so if we don’t raise enough funds, you’ll have the option to roll your donation over to support the 2026 WordPress Accessibility Day Conference or receive a refund.
