On the day of the event, you can watch and participate via Zoom. After registering on our website, you’ll automatically be registered as an attendee in the Zoom webinar and will receive an email with information on how to log into Zoom.

If you have never joined a Zoom webinar as an attendee, please read Zoom’s documentation on how to join a webinar before contacting us for assistance.

How do I get technical help?

If you haven’t already, join the WordPress Accessibility Day Slack. This is a great place to connect with other attendees, speakers, and volunteers leading up to, during, and after the event. Organizers will be watching Slack on the day of the event, so if you have trouble accessing the live stream, chat, or transcript, this is the best place to tag us. There is a #attendees-2023 channel you can use for support.

Accessing Information on the Website

How do I reset my password?

You can reset your password here.

How do I activate my account?

You should have received an email from the website when you registered with a link to click to activate your account. You may need to check your spam folder. If you cannot find the email, tag an organizer on WP Accessibility Day Slack in the #attendees-2023 channel, and we can activate your account for you.

I logged in, but I’m still not able to access sponsor swag and giveaways.

Try clearing your cache. We have tried to set up rules to block caching of the sponsor pages and redirects, but some browsers have more aggressive caching than others. Clearing your cache after logging in should resolve this.

How do I change my public profile on the attendees page?

You can update your attendee profile here. This will control if you are shown on the attendees list or not and what information is visible.

Speaker slides are added to the session post on the website as we receive them. We strongly encourage speakers to provide us with their slides, but we don’t require it, so we can’t guarantee having all slides available.

We aren’t going to share the chat directly, but we will extract the resources shared and post them as a list after the event.

How and when will I get my t-shirt?

We do not have drop shipping set up, so we order t-shirts from our printing company in bulk, which helps us to keep our per-shirt price down.

T-shirts are being purchased and mailed to volunteers, attendees, and t-shirt winners after the event is over. Currently, our anticipated timeline for t-shirts is:

  • Feedback forms close on Thursday, September 28th.
  • T-shirts winners from feedback form entries will be randomly selected and notified on Friday, September 29th.
  • T-shirt winners will have until Friday, October 6th to provide us with their preferred size and mailing address.
  • The t-shirt order will be submitted to our printing company the week of October 9th. If we need corrections or clarifications on your mailing address, expect to hear from us during this week.
  • T-shirts should arrive 2-4 weeks after we place the final order depending on where you are located in the world. This means you can expect to receive your t-shirt in late October or early November.
