The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.a11y-collective.com\/courses-overview\/\" rel=\"sponsored nofollow\">A11Y Collective\u2019s courses<\/a> offer web accessibility education, supporting compliance with the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.a11y-collective.com\/get-ready-for-the-european-accessibility-act\/\" rel=\"sponsored nofollow\">European Accessibility Act <\/a>(EAA) and the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.a11y-collective.com\/how-to-be-and-remain-compliant-with-the-ada\/\" rel=\"sponsored nofollow\">Americans with Disabilities Act<\/a> (ADA). Course materials are presented in accessible formats, which include captioned videos and comprehensive transcripts. Each learning module wraps up with a quiz, and a certificate is awarded once a course is completed.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Their goal is to reach a broad target audience including project managers, web designers, developers, copywriters, web managers, product owners, and (semi) government employees across various experience levels.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 id=\"why-the-a11y-collective-supports-wordpress-accessibility-day\" class=\"wp-block-heading\">Why The A11Y Collective Supports WordPress Accessibility Day<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">When asked why The A11Y Collective sponsors WordPress Accessibility Day, Taeke Reijenga, founder of The A11y Collective said that <a href=\"https:\/\/2022.wpaccessibility.day\/sponsoring-was-a-no-brainer-for-the-a11y-collective\/\">sponsoring WordPress Accessibility Day \u201cwas a no-brainer, as it was the last couple of years\u201d<\/a>. While they can\u2019t sponsor every event in the WordPress space, The A11Y Collective is happy to sponsor the ones that are close to their heart as an organization.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">&#8220;Our main purpose of sponsoring WordPress Accessibility Day and other, more regular, WordCamps is to raise awareness. After talking to hundreds of visitors at our booths at various events, there is one thing we learned, and that is that the majority would love to create more accessible projects, but they have no clue where to start. We know it is awareness first and education second. The collective has invested heavily in making sure the tools they use to build are accessible &#8211; this commitment is reflected in the website&#8217;s front end, the checkout process, even the enrollment process with Learndash LMS.
